Although our first products are focused on RFID infrastructure equipment, our heritage at Element ID is in industrial automation and our focus is on solving our customers’ automation problems and advancing the state of the art in automation equipment. While working at other auto-id companies, our engineers have designed hardware and software for some of the most innovative and popular high performance barcode scanners, dimensioners, and data processing/interface systems used in advanced automation applications.

Most RFID vendors come from a wireless background, and their products are heavy on RF design and light on features and the back-end data processing performance that is needed to create a real solution. This places the burden of converting a significant amount of RFID data into usable information on the customers, integrators, and often, multiple third party developers.

Element ID’s system approach results in a complete solution. Our extensive experience in automation allows us to understand how customers want to use the data and how to interface with existing infrastructure equipment. We understand what your problems are and try to provide an end-to-end, integrated hardware and software solution that makes it easy to transition to the benefits of RFID, without giving up the advantages of your legacy systems, and without significant infrastructure changes and expense.

Customers can see the rugged reader hardware, antennas, and cables that make up our systems, but it is the embedded software that really sets us apart from the competition. Features like the patent pending TagLink™ technology that allows for the same level of advanced item tracking and sortation previously only available with barcode systems. Also, our HyperSage™ technology, that both 1) accelerates read rate to the point where even the fastest production lines and conveyor systems can run at full speed and still add RFID capability, and 2) preprocesses data to deliver only the necessary information needed in the format desired, thereby reducing total implementation cost, simplifying RFID rollout, and maximizing the impact of the infrastructure investment you have already made.

Our goal has been to bring industrial performance to bear on your problem, but with an easy to use and highly configurable system that reduces set up time, eases the transition from barcode to RFID, and greatly increases the compatibility with existing infrastructure to reduce RFID implementation risk.

Element ID is a new company - we started development in 2006, but this is probably the first time you have heard of us – but as individuals, as engineers, we have extensive experience solving your problems with innovative products.
